Wolves are off the endangered list

I heard that Wolves are close to being removed from the endangered list in the Great Lakes area. This means that they could be hunted for sport. It’s a pity that people would want to hunt down these majestic animals. Wolves were originally put on the endangered list in 1974 when their numbers were close to extinction due to excessive hunting and government sponsored poisoning. Today, there are over 5000 wolves in the wild across several states and this makes their population not risky for extinction. I certainly believe that humans should learn to co-exist peacefully with the animals and let nature take it’s course without human beings wielding unfair technological advantage.
