My daughter loves Hannah Montana

You would know that Miley Cyrus is the hottest ticket in town if you have a daughter. My daughter is a huge fan of “Hannah Montana” and was really excited to go see the 3-D movie of her concert. As you probably heard, in December, there was a live show by Miley Cyrus in Dallas. It sold out in minutes and the tickets were being sold by scalpers for ridiculous amounts of money. Some parents paid as much as $1,500 for a single ticket. My wife and I had made up our minds that we would not pay a penny over the retail price of the ticket. Obviously, we did not get to take our daughter to the show. The Hannah Montana concert was absolutely the most wanted concert among tweens all over the US.

I bet Miley’s dad, country singer Billy Ray never imagined even in his wildest dreams that his daughter would become such a phenomenon. Starring as “Hannah Montana” in the Disney Channel show by the same name changed her life forever. When she originally auditioned with Disney, she did not get the part because the studio executives felt she was too little. Miley was persistent and really won the studio execs over with her smile and her enthusiasm.

When she was born, her parents had named her as Destiny Hope because they truly believed she would accomplish great things in her life. She got the nickname Miley because she was always smiling. Not only is she a good actress, she is also a very talented musician and singer. I guess she really does have “the best of both worlds!”.

My daughter loved the 3-D movie and cannot stop talking about it.
