The home of Berwyn Heights, Maryland mayor Cheye Calvo was raided by drug enforcement agents recently. During the raid, the agents shot the mayors two dogs and roughed up his mother in-law.

Apparently, the enforcement agents were following a packet that was addressed to his wife and contained drugs. Later on the mayors family was cleared of all wrong doing. The mayor was the victim of a scheme to ship drugs to different addresses and intercept it before the home owner gets the package.

The mayor has filed a lawsuit against the drug enforcement agency for not doing some ground work before busting his door down and shooting his dogs.

I certainly think the mayor is right, the agents could have done some research on whose house it was, was there a history of packets being delivered to that address, etc.
