Baby Justice will get justice soon, hopefully

I was truly shocked to hear the story of a mom who suffocated her 3 year old son to death by covering her hands over his nose and mouth. She felt remorseful half way through and revived him by giving him CPR. After that she apparently decided to go forward with it anyways and finished the job. It is so shocking to imagine a small child being suffocated to death. What must have driven this mother to go through such a heinous crime on a child?

After murdering the child, she buried him in a shallow grave near a playground. When the body was found near the playground in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the entire community came together to find who perpetrated this crime. The baby was dubbed “Baby Justice”. When police interviewed Tiffany Toribio about her missing 3 year old son she admitted to the killing. Her reason for murdering her child was that she did not want him to grow up with no one loving him just like she had.

If she was that concerned about no one loving her son, she could have given him up for adoption. Some other family could have raised him into a fine young man. I am not sure what drives people to this. Could it be a mental ailment perhaps? If so, then she did not have much control over her actions. On the other hand, we blame a lot on mental ailment rather than on the environment, the society or other factors that might have contributed to this.
